To me this photo breathes the atmosphere of an analogue picture from the seventies somewhere in the US of A. But it's digital, shot in October 2025 in Japan, Mount Fuji covered in clouds, preparing the snow on top.

My favorite shot from the series called Escape to Paradise that was commisioned by the municipality of Groningen. The assignment consisted of visualising ‘the unplanned residential and living environment in and around the city of Groningen’ as part of a photographical series. In short, places where people are allowed to create their own world without municipal interference.
